Well I did my usual of just walking in to a new place and just sitting down at the first available table. I was approached and told that I could sit there until 3pm as the table was booked. Because of how courteous the staff were, I said I would be more than happy to sit at the bar. The staff went above and beyond and actually found me a table. Top marks for that. Yes, this place is small but it's just so enjoyable. The food is typical bar food as this is more of a cocktail bar, but even still very good. If you want to get in here, I suggest you book, especially if you come late afternoon. You're not overwhelmed by staff constantly asking if everything is OK with your food. They have event nights on which makes a huge difference to a night out and adding another level to such a small place. Massive from me
My husband and I visited Bijou this weekend and it has a lovely atmosphere. The kind of place you could easily relax and have fun all night.The new decor and paint is stunning. The bar looks incredible as does the art throughout. You can really tell that that they care; We tried 2 drinks and they were not only beautifully presented but also the best tasting mocktails I have ever had. The sourdough pizza we tried (pepperoni and hot honey) was delicious and fresh. Amazing choice for a night out away from the kids.
Excellent atmosphere with some great live music every Friday and Saturday The food is great, especially the pizzas, although the recently introduced chicken skewers may soon overtake them as my favourites. The staff in there are always helpful and friendly and really make the place a top notch place to enjoy yourself, or even just chill out.
We came on the 21st of October for bottomless brunch in the evening. We had a fab night the cocktails were amazing! And the food was good. The singer and band was brilliant, all the bar staff was fab! And really lovely & helpful. Only thing that let it down was the place was absolutely freezing, We was seated next to a door which had to be kept "open" for fire reasons... Along with the back door wide open!!

Went to the opening day of the new relaunched Bijou and the place looks amazing, the new colour scheme and decorations are miles apart from the old style. The white, pink and green work amazing together. The improved bathrooms are much cleaner and everything looks like it's redocorated with care. We had 2 mocktails (Cherry bomb and popstar) and they tasted really fresh, we also had a hot honey pizza which was delightful and well cooked with a perfectly crispy base and tasty toppings The staff themselves were polite, they came to see if our food was to our liking and if we wanted anything else. The drinks where prepared in front of us, so we could see their dedication to their craft, and the pizza didn't take long to cook in their kitchen Well done guys, will definitely be coming back
Been coming atleast once a month to bijou, if not more - i was in for bottomless brunch for 6 weeks straight at the beginning of the year - its like my second home! I absolutely love the place, the food, the cocktails, the vibes and the staff I've made good friends with (Jade, maggie, charlotte, mads) was lovely to see them at the reopening yesterday, however my favourite pizza - the carbonara has left the menu so im sad! Haha. Top service and amazing new look..was lovely hearing about it all! Also the lovely Alex who welcomed us in and was very attentive all night and chatty!! See you all again soon xx Ps Jade is the BEST manager and bijou are so lucky to have her as she is so commited to making sure everything is brill and you are fully satisfied, nothing is ever too much for her!
